Cecily Marrable is a married mother of three amazing boys. In 2009 her son Preston was diagnosed with Autism. She tirelessly advocated for his needs in order to ensure that he received a Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE). Cecily has been offering direct training and advocacy support to parents on the IEP process and effective advocacy for their child's education and partnership strategies with their child's school team. Cecily has advocated for children with disabilities (Autism, Attention Deficit Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, Deaf and Hard of Hearing, Visually Impaired, Emotional Disturbance, Medical Disabilities, Microcephaly, etc) and encouraged parents to effectively advocate for their children's individual needs. Cecily regularly partners with local disability support agencies/businesses and non-profit organizations to offer quality advocacy and IEP informational training and workshop opportunities. She also attended Legislative Day in Sacramento, CA (April 2015) and spoke directly with Senators regarding the need for childcare for children with Special Needs. She is a member of the Parent Advisory Council with the Special Needs Network and participates in organizational decision making, community organizing and legislative advocacy. Cecily has successfully developed and ensured that the District implemented students' IEPs and individualizing plans to meet the students' individual unique needs. Cecily has the advantage of knowledge, training, and experience as a consultant & advocate, and as a parent of a child with autism.

School districts know what they are required to provide, but they also know that if they say no, the majority of parents will not fight the decision. As Your IEP Advocate, Cecily will help you develop an IEP that will address the areas of need to ensure that your child receives an appropriate education. She will request your child’s full educational file in order to research and review all assessments, IEP Goal Progress, to develop the appropriate services for your child. Cecily will create a 5-7 page IEP Parent Agenda listing all of the parent concerns and requests. Notification will be sent to the school district requesting a 30-day IEP and Cecily will inform the district that the IEP Meeting will be audio recorded. She will attend IEP meetings with you and advocate for your child. Cecily will correspond with the school district via emails, phone calls, letters, etc. and will obtain answers via a Prior Written Notice Letter. You will no longer have to fight the IEP team or School District alone. Cecily Marrable is your devoted Advocate that will hold the school district accountable in order to ensure that your child gets what he/she is entitled to. Cecily is always available to her clients (Monday-Friday) and will support you during the entire process. Please contact Cecily to set up a free consultation today!
